Some times we have to make slight adjustments to the storm window to allow them to slide into their new windows. Installation is not mandatory to purchase Reveal Wood Storm Windows as you can install them yourself if you so desire!
Did you know?
While our storms are custom fit to each window, this doens’t mean that there will not be some small gaps around the edges. The existing frames are rarely square as they move with your home. So we typically reduce the width and height by 1/4″ to make sure your new Reveal Wood Storms will fit. In fact, we usually leave between 1/4″ and 3/8″ at the bottom to ensure your wood windows can still breathe and that moisture will not be trapped and cause your windows to rot prematurely!
